When I got to visit Maine in 2011 I was awestruck by how different it was from Arizona after having lived in the desert so long. I got kind of carried away with shooting videos of trees and water, but I wanted to have some proof to bring back that it was real. The day I got to visit Mount Desert Island it rained the whole time, and at it was so foggy I could barely see the ocean while standing on the beach. The scenic view from the top of Cadillac Mountain that day was of the inside of a cloud.
I was woken up at 3:00 yesterday morning by about a dozen fire trucks driving into my neighborhood. A fire broke out in a nearby apartment complex, trapping two people in the apartment. Featuring an interview with the fire chief and two neighbors.
I met these two in Margret Hance Park on October 16th, the morning after the arrests of the Occupy! protest. They have a lot to say about losing their home and living on the street. The woman is a former police officer.
This is my video from my visit to Boston in 2011. Boats, old architecture, and an airport practically on the beach.
